Alabama Lifespan Respite

Alabama Lifespan Respite, in partnership with the Alabama Department of Senior Services, is proud to offer grant funding to start or expand community-based Adult Day Service respite programs.

Our goal is to increase access to quality respite care for unpaid family caregivers and their loved ones, with a specific focus on reaching underserved and rural populations across Alabama. This initiative is made possible through the ACL Advancing State Implementation of the National Strategy to Support Family Caregivers grant.

Additional Information

Funding awards are determined by a competitive review process. Final selections will be based on a variety of factors, including the highest-ranking application scores, the total volume of applications received, and the availability of funds for the current grant cycle.

Applicants are encouraged to request the amount necessary to execute the project as proposed. In the event we are unable to provide full funding, please outline which core components of your project are essential for success and which are optional or ‘scalable’ if only partial funding is awarded.
